the term is up, but there again all is up for somewhat of a negotiation
when setting up your terms.
Adjustable rate mortgages also know as ARM's have rates the change
sporadically, and have more risk because of the possibility of a rate
increase. But because of this you as the mortgagor may actually en cure
a lower interest kind of like an incentive to choose the
ARM, however it is still no guarantee of furure interest rates. So if
your security for the
oan is more of a short term this may be a viable option for your
mortgage.
Your really owe it to yourself to check out the interest rates in your
area. There are various ways to accomplish this you could just call
your local bank, or financial institution and they would be happy to
give you the current rates. But maby you are just looking for now and
don't want to discuss things with them. If that is the case you can
look in the financial
section of your local paper. If you are curious about the rates in the
past and the trend for
the future you could do some internet research, just be sure you verify
the source of the numbers you find, and that they are applicable to
your area.
